कावागोए सिटी हॉल ने साफ किया कि मस्जिद को प्रशासन की बिना अनुमति के बनाया गया है। मस्जिद निर्माण के लिए नगर नियोजन अधिनियम के तहत विशेष परमिट जरूरी होता है, जो नहीं लिया गया। जिसके बाद शहर प्रशासन को मस्जिद को हटाने के अनुरोध मिले हैं, जिसपर चर्चा चल रही है।

पाक दूतावास की सफाई 

इस घटना ने पाकिस्तानी दूतावास को भी मुश्किल स्थिति में डाल दिया। विवाद बढ़ने पर दूतावास ने तुरंत खुद को इस प्रोजेक्ट से अलग कर लिया। 1 जून को जारी बयान में दूतावास ने कहा कि जापानी कानूनों का उल्लंघन करने वाली किसी भी परियोजना से उसका कोई संबंध नहीं है। दूतावास ने पाकिस्तानी समुदाय से जापानी नियमों का सख्ती से पालन करने की अपील की।

राजदूत के शामिल होने पर क्या कहा?

साथ ही पाक दूतावास ने राजदूत के उद्घाटन में शामिल होने पर भी सफाई दी है। बयान के अनुसार, राजदूत अब्दुल हमीद 3 अप्रैल को कार्यक्रम में तब गए जब उन्हें आश्वासन दिया गया था कि सभी कानूनी मंजूरियां ली जा चुकी हैं। दूतावास ने जोर देकर कहा कि वह ऐसी किसी भी गतिविधि का समर्थन नहीं करता जो स्थानीय कानूनों का पालन न करे।’
