बरेली-मथुरा नेशनल हाईवे पर चौथे चरण में बदायूं-बरेली के बीच निर्माण शुरू होने के बाद अब भमोरा-देवचरा के बीच पांच किलोमीटर के बाइपास निर्माण का काम शुरू हो गया है। हाईवे पर बरेली-बदायूं के बीच दो बाइपास बनाए जाने हैं। इन पर 650 करोड़ का बजट खर्च होगा। मुख्य हाईवे के अलावा बाइपास पर आने वाली पेड़ों को कटान के लिए चिह्नित कर लिया गया है।
नेशनल हाईवे अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया (एनएचएआई) को बरेली-मथुरा के बीच 228 किमी किमी के हाईवे का निर्माण 2027 तक पूरा करना है। परियोजना निदेशक उत्कर्ष शुक्ला ने बताया कि 7700 करोड़ की इस परियोजना का मथुरा-कासगंज के बीच 60 फीसदी काम पूरा हो गया है। बरेली-बदायूं के बीच एक और बरेली-कासगंज के बीच दो टोल प्लाजा होंगे।
भमोरा और बदायूं के कछला में टोल प्लाजा के लिए भूमि चिह्नित करने का काम भी पूरा हो चुका है। बरेली-बदायूं के बीच भमोरा और देवचरा में हाईवे घने रिहायशी इलाके से गुजर रहा है। ऐसे में यहां पांच किलोमीटर के बाइपास का निर्माण शुरू करा दिया गया है।
बदायूं के बिनावर में नेशनल हाईवे पर जंक्शन का काम भी शुरू हो गया है। जंक्शन पर यह हाईवे मेरठ-प्रयागराज गंगा एक्सप्रेस-वे को जोड़ेगा। इसके अलावा मुरादाबाद-फर्रुखाबाद हाईवे से भी कनेक्ट होगा। उन्होंने बताया कि पेड़ों के कटान और पौधरोपण के लिए वन विभाग को भुगतान किया जा चुका है। कुछ स्थानों पर भूमि समतल करने के लिए कटान शुरू करा दिया गया है।
