गोरखपुर, 26 मई। खेलो इंडिया यूनिवर्सिटी गेम्स में रोइंग (नौकायन) प्रतियोगिता की मेजबानी के साथ गोरखपुर भी गर्व से गौरव की अनुभूति के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार है। देश के कई राज्यों के विश्वविद्यालयों से आए खिलाड़ियों को प्रतिभा प्रदर्शन हेतु अपनी विशाल जलराशि पर मंच देने के लिए रामगढ़ताल भी बेकरार है। शनिवार सुबह सात बजे से नाव सवार युवा खिलाड़ी अपने चप्पुओं से ताल पर अपनी जलक्रीड़ा कौशल का धमाल मचाएंगे। गोरखपुर और पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश के लोग इस रोमांचक नजारे का 31 मई तक दीदार कर सकेंगे।
खेलो इंडिया यूनिवर्सिटी गेम्स की रोइंग प्रतियोगिता के रूप गोरखपुर में पहली बार जलक्रीड़ा की राष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिता हो रही है। खेलो इंडिया में पहली बार रोइंग को शामिल किया गया है। यह स्थानीय युवाओं को जलक्रीड़ा के क्षेत्र में उन्मुख करने के लिए भविष्य की संभावनाओं का द्वार खोलने का स्वर्णिम अवसर भी है। साथ ही यह प्रतियोगिता पूरे देश में ‘ब्रांड यूपी’ को मजबूत करने का माध्यम भी बनने जा रही है। मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ के मार्गदर्शन में इसकी शुरुआत भी हो चुकी है। देशभर से आए खिलाड़ी गोरखपुर में भव्य स्वागत व अभूतपूर्व सुविधाओं से अभिभूत नजर आ रहे हैं। आयोजन के दौरान उन्हें यूपी की कला-संस्कृति, विरासत से भी रूबरू कराया जाएगा। कुल मिलाकर ऐसी व्यवस्थाएं की गई हैं कि यहां से खिलाड़ी जब विदा हों, तब तक गोरखपुर और यूपी हमेशा के लिए उनके दिलों में बस चुका हो।
शनिवार से शुरू रोइंग प्रतियोगिता दूरी के हिसाब से दो वर्गों में आयोजित हो रही है। 2000 मीटर व 500 मीटर। पहले तीन दिन अधिक दूरी की स्पर्धा होगी। शनिवार को सुबह सात बजे से 2000 मीटर की दूरी के लिए हिट इवेंट में पुरुष व महिला वर्ग में सिंगल स्कल, डबल स्कल्स, कॉक्सलेस पेयर, कॉक्सलेस क्वाड्रपल, लाइटवेट सिंगल, डबल व क्वाड्रपल की प्रतिस्पर्धा होगी। रविवार 28 मई को हिट इवेंट में आगे के दौर में प्रवेश करने से वंचित खिलाड़ियों को रेपेचेज इवेंट में प्रतिभा प्रदर्शन का मौका मिलेगा। 2000 मीटर की दूरी के फाइनल मुकाबले सोमवार, 29 मई को होंगे। जबकि 500 मीटर की दूरी के लिए अलग-अलग वर्ग के मुकाबले 30 मई से शुरू होंगे।
