आपको बता दें कि आईआरसीटीसी के इंश्योरेंस की सुविधा सभी क्लास में यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों को दी जाती है. इसके तहत अधिकतम 10 लाख रुपये का कवर दिया जाता है. यात्रा के दौरान यदि यात्री की मौत हो जाती है तो ऐसे में 10 लाख रुपये देने का प्रावधान है. पर्मानेंट और पार्शल डिसएबिलिटी होने पर 7.5 लाख रुपये देने का प्रावधान है. वहीं घायलों को दो लाख रुपये देने का प्रावधान है.
5 साल से कम उम्र के बच्चे कवर नहीं
हालांकि इसमें 5 साल से कम उम्र वाले बच्चे कवर नहीं होते. ट्रैवल इंश्योरेंस की सुविधा देने के लिए आईआरसीटीसी ने आईसीआईसीआई लोम्बर्ड जनरल इंश्योरेंस, रॉयल सुंदरम जनरल इंश्योरेंस और श्रीराम जनरल इंश्योरेंस से करार किया है. इसके तहत एक टिकट पर 92 पैसे का भुगतान करना होगा, टैक्स सहित यह करीब एक रुपये होगा. नए नियम के तहत 1 सितंबर से यह भुगतान यात्री को करना होगा.
