भारत में ब्रेस्ट कैंसर से पीड़ित 13% महिलाओं में फैला ‘मेटास्टेसिस’

यह महत्वपूर्ण रिसर्च जानी-मानी मेडिकल पत्रिका ‘द लैंसेट रीजनल हेल्थ साउथईस्ट एशिया’ में प्रकाशित हुई है। इस अध्ययन में कुल 76,356 महिलाओं के स्वास्थ्य आंकड़ों का बारीकी से विश्लेषण किया गया, जिनमें से 12.96 प्रतिशत में मेटास्टेसिस की पुष्टि हुई।

ये आंकड़े भारत के ‘राष्ट्रीय कैंसर रजिस्ट्री कार्यक्रम’ के तहत जुटाए गए थे। इस रिसर्च में मुख्य रूप से उन महिलाओं को शामिल किया गया था, जिनमें साल 2009 से लेकर 2020 के बीच पहली बार स्तन कैंसर की पहचान हुई थी।

हड्डियों में फैलने का सबसे ज्यादा खतरा
स्टडी में एक और जरूरी जानकारी निकलकर सामने आई है कि जब स्तन कैंसर शरीर के अन्य हिस्सों में फैलता है, तो इसका सबसे आम ठिकाना हड्डियां होती हैं। रिसर्च के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, मेटास्टेसिस के कुल मामलों में से 25.1 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी हड्डियों की पाई गई।

हाल के सालों में बढ़ा है जोखिम
