नई दिल्ली। राजधानी दिल्ली के शास्त्री नगर इलाके में मच्छर भगाने वाली क्वायल के धुएं से एक ही परिवार के छह लोगों की मौत हो गई।
बताया जा रहा है कि मच्छर भगाने की कॉइल से इनके कमरे में आग लग गई थी। इसके चलते चार लोगों की दम घुटने से मौत हो गई, जबकि दो लोगों ने इस आग में झुलसकर दम तोड़ दिया। यह घटना गुरुवार रात की है। सूचना मिलने पर मौके पर पहुंची दिल्ली पुलिस ने सभी छह शवों को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया है। पुलिस घटना के कारणों की जांच कर रही है।
दमकल विभाग के निदेशक अतुल गर्ग ने शुक्रवार को बताया कि, बीती देर रात दमकल विभाग को सूचना मिली थी कि मजार वाला रोड शास्त्री पार्क स्थित एक मकान में आग लग गई है। सूचना मिलते ही दमकल की तीन गाड़ियों को तुरंत मौके पर भेजा गया। दमकलकर्मियों ने एक घंटे की कड़ी मशक्कत के बाद आग पर काबू पाया। आग बुझने के बाद पुलिस के साथ मिलकर दमकलकर्मियों ने नौ लोगों को घायल अवस्था में बाहर निकाल कर तुरंत नजदीकी अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया। जहां डॉक्टरों ने छह लोगों को मृत घोषित कर दिया। जबकि तीन लोगों का उपचार चल रहा है।
वहीं उत्तर-पूर्वी जिले के डीसीपी डॉ. जॉय टिर्की ने बताया कि पुलिस को अस्पताल से पता चला कि एक ही परिवार के नौ लोग थे, जिनमें से 6 की मौत हो गई, जबकि 2 व्यक्तियों का इलाज किया जा रहा है। जबकि 22 वर्षीय युवक को डॉक्टरों ने प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद छुट्टी दे दी है। जिन लोगों की मौत हुई है, उनमें चार पुरुष, एक महिला और एक डेढ़ साल का बच्चा शामिल है। 45 वर्षीय एक व्यक्ति व 15 साल की बच्ची का उपचार चल रहा है।
पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार, शुरूआती जांच में पता चला है कि ये लोग रोज मच्छर भगाने का क्वायल जलाकर सोते थे। बाहर से मच्छर घर में न आए, इसलिए खिड़की-दरवाजे भी बंद रखते थे। क्वायल का धुंआ घर में भरा, तो उनका दम घुटने लगा। देखते देखते सभी बेहोश हो गए।
