नई दिल्ली। भारत को खेल महाशक्ति बनाने के दृष्टिकोण की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाते हुए, भारतीय ओलंपिक संघ (आईओए) ने 1 अक्टूबर को भावी मेजबान आयोग, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय ओलंपिक समिति (आईओसी) को औपचारिक रूप से आशय पत्र भेजा है, जिसमें 2036 में ओलंपिक और पैरालिंपिक खेलों की मेजबानी के लिए भारत की रुचि व्यक्त की गई है। सूत्रों ने आईएएनएस को यह जानकारी दी।
सूत्र ने कहा, भारत में 2036 में ओलंपिक और पैरालंपिक खेलों की मेजबानी करने के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के दृष्टिकोण ने एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम आगे बढ़ाया है।
सूत्र ने कहा, यह महत्वपूर्ण अवसर देश भर में आर्थिक विकास, सामाजिक प्रगति और युवा सशक्तिकरण को बढ़ावा देते हुए पर्याप्त लाभ ला सकता है।
