उत्तराखंड की वर्ष 2003 की मतदाता सूची के मतदाताओं की मैपिंग तो पूरी हो गई लेकिन जो दूसरे राज्यों में थे, अब यहां मतदाता हैं, उनकी बीएलओ मैपिंग प्रदेश में विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण (एसआईआर) शुरू होने के बाद ही हो पाएगी।
प्रदेश में एसआईआर फरवरी में संभावित है। इससे पहले मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी कार्यालय की ओर से प्री एसआईआर के तहत बीएलओ मैपिंग कराई गई। 10 जनवरी तक हुई मैपिंग में प्रदेश के 85 लाख में से 59 लाख मतदाताओं की मैपिंग हो गई। इन सभी के नाम वर्ष 2003 की मतदाता सूची में उत्तराखंड में ही थे। लिहाजा, बीएलओ ने अपने ही राज्य के मतदाताओं की मैपिंग करते हुए उन्हें एसआईआर में किसी भी तरह के दस्तावेज जमा कराने से मुक्त कर दिया है।
सभी मतदाताओं की ऐप के माध्यम से मैपिंग तभी शुरू हो पाएगी
प्रदेश में बड़ी संख्या उन मतदाताओं की है, जो कि वर्तमान में उत्तराखंड में वोटर हैं लेकिन वर्ष 2003 में उनका वोट यूपी या अन्य राज्य में था। अभी प्री एसआईआर में इनकी जानकारी तो ली गई है लेकिन बीएलओ ने ऐप के माध्यम से मैपिंग नहीं की है। अपर मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी डॉ. विजय कुमार जोगदंडे ने बताया कि इन सभी मतदाताओं की ऐप के माध्यम से मैपिंग तभी शुरू हो पाएगी, जबकि राज्य में एसआईआर शुरू हो जाएगा। चुनाव आयोग ने अभी उत्तराखंड में एसआईआर की घोषणा नहीं की है।

जो मतदाता दूसरे राज्यों के निवासी हैं या 2003 में दूसरे राज्यों में वोटर थे, वे एसआईआर शुरू होने से पहले अपने दस्तावेज तैयार कर लें। उन्हें या तो अपने 2003 के वोट की जानकारी देनी होगी या फिर अपने माता-पिता, दादा-दादी के वोट की जानकारी देनी होगी। अगर नहीं होगी तो चुनाव आयोग की ओर से जारी 12 अन्य दस्तावेज में कोई एसआईआर फॉर्म के साथ उपलब्ध कराना होगा।
