ट्रंप ने होर्मुज में रोका ‘प्रोजेक्ट फ्रीडम’

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनल्ड ट्रंप ने बुधवार को होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य में ‘प्रोजेक्ट फ्रीडम’ को कुछ समय के लिए रोकने का आदेश दिया। इसका कारण उन्होंने ईरान के साथ चल रहे अंतिम समझौते के लिए बातचीत को बताया। हालांकि, उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि अमेरिकी नौसैनिक की ओर से की जा रही नाकाबंदी पूरी तरह से लागू रहेगी।

ट्रुथ सोशल पर एक पोस्ट में ट्रंप ने कहा, “पाकिस्तान और अन्य देशों के अनुरोध पर, ईरान के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ एक पूर्ण और अंतिम समझौते की दिशा में बड़ी प्रगति हुई है। उसे देखते हुए हमने आपसी सहमति से यह तय किया है कि, प्रोजेक्ट फ्रीडम को कुछ समय के लिए रोक दिया जाएगा, ताकि यह देखा जा सके कि क्या समझौता को अंतिम रूप दिया जा सकता है।”

मालूम हो कि, मंगलवार को खाड़ी क्षेत्र में संघर्ष-विराम के बीच अमेरिका और ईरान ने एक-दूसरे पर नए हमले किए। खाड़ी में मौजूद कई व्यापारिक जहाजों ने धमाकों या आग लगने की घटनाओं की सूचना दी। अमेरिका ने दावा किया कि उसने ईरान की छह छोटी सैन्य नावों को नष्ट कर दिया है। वहीं, संयुक्त अरब अमीरात में एक तेल बंदरगाह पर ईरानियों द्वारा आग लगा दी गई, जिसमें तीन भारतीय घायल हो गए।

इससे पहले, ट्रंप ने कहा था कि अमेरिका दुनिया भर के जहाजों को इन प्रतिबंधित जलमार्गों से सुरक्षित बाहर निकालने में मदद करेगा, ताकि वे अपना व्यापार जारी रख सकें। ईरान ने अपने परमाणु कार्यक्रम के मुद्दे को छेड़े बिना होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य पर अपनी पकड़ (नाकाबंदी) खत्म करने का प्रस्ताव दिया है। अपने इस प्रस्ताव के हिस्से के तौर पर ईरान यह भी चाहता है कि, संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका उसके देश पर लगाई गई नाकाबंदी को समाप्त कर दें।

वहीं, ईरान के विदेश मंत्री अब्बास अराघची ने ‘प्रोजेक्ट फ्रीडम’ को ‘प्रोजेक्ट डेडलॉक’ (गतिरोध का प्रोजेक्ट) करार दिया था, और कहा था कि सोमवार की घटनाओं से यह साबित हो गया है कि इस संकट का कोई सैन्य समाधान नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि पाकिस्तान की मध्यस्थता से शांति वार्ता आगे बढ़ रही है, और साथ ही उन्होंने अमेरिका और संयुक्त अरब अमीरात को आगाह किया कि वे बुरे चाहने वालों द्वारा बनाए गए दलदल में न फंसें।
