वाशिंगटन। अमेरिका में पिछले साल छह जनवरी को संसद परिसर में हुए दंगे पर संसदीय समिति ने अपनी जांच रिपोर्ट गुरुवार को जारी कर दी। रिपोर्ट में राष्ट्रपति चुनाव हारने के बाद तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप को दंगे के लिए जिम्मेदार ठहराया गया है। इसमें कहा गया है कि 2020 के राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में जो बाइडन से हारने के बाद फर्जी वोटिंग का आरोप लगाने वाले ट्रंप ने अपने समर्थकों को संसद परिसर में उपद्रव करने से रोकने की कोई अपील नहीं की।
संसदीय समिति ने अपनी रिपोर्ट में ट्रंप को कभी भी सार्वजनिक पद दिए जाने की अनुमति न देने की सलाह दी है। रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि इस हिंसा का कारण ‘केवल एक व्यक्ति’ था, वह हैं ट्रंप। ट्रंप ने लोकतंत्र को खतरे में डालने के साथ अमेरिकी सांसदों के जीवन को भी संकट में डाल दिया था।
