चमोली में देर रात बड़ा हादसा हो गया। टीएचडीसी की निर्माणाधीन विष्णुगाड-पीपलकोटी जलविद्युत परियोजना के अंदर दो लोको ट्रेनें आपस में टकरा गईं। इस हादसे में करीब 60 लोग घायल हुए हैं। जलविद्युत परियोजना की 13 किलोमीटर लंबी सुरंग में 100 से अधिक अधिकारी, कर्मचारी और मजदूर काम कर रहे थे। घायलों को अस्पताल ले जाया गया है। घटना रात करीब साढ़े नौ बजे की है।
बताया जा रहा है कि चमोली जिले में अलकनंदा नदी पर 444 मेगावाट की जलविद्युत परियोजना बन रही है। सुरंग के अंदर काम चल रहा था। टनल बोरिंग मशीन के जरिये खुदाई भी की जा रही थी। सुरंग के अंदर काम को तेज गति से करने के लिए भारी भरकम मशीनें लगी थीं।
इन्हीं में से दो मशीनें (लोको ट्रेन) आपस में टकरा गईं। सुरंग के अंदर जिस दौरान हादसा हुआ उस समय 100 से अधिक अधिकारी, कर्मचारी और मजदूर थे। बताया जा रहा है कि इनमें से करीब 60 लोग घायल हुए। हादसे के कारण सुरंग में निर्माण कार्य भी रोका गया।
जानकारी के अनुसार टनल के भीतर मजदूरों को लाने-ले जाने वाली दो लोको ट्रेनों की आपस में टक्कर हो गई। हादसे की सूचना मिलते ही जिलाधिकारी गौरव कुमार एवं पुलिस अधीक्षक सुरजीत सिंह पंवार जिला अस्पताल गोपेश्वर पहुंचे और वहां भर्ती घायलों का हालचाल जाना तथा चिकित्सकों को बेहतर उपचार के निर्देश दिए।
जिलाधिकारी ने बताया कि प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार लगभग 60 घायल होने की सूचना है। इसमें से 42 घायल लोगों का उपचार जिला अस्पताल गोपेश्वर में और 17 घायल मजदूरों का उपचार विवेकानंद अस्पताल पीपलकोटी में किया जा रहा है अन्य की स्थिति सामान्य है। सभी घायलों की स्थिति फिलहाल स्थिर बताई जा रही है।
