निर्वासन प्रक्रिया कोई नई बात नहीं : अमेरिका से 104 भारतीयों की वापसी पर संसद में बोले विदेश मंत्री

नई दिल्ली। विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने गुरुवार को राज्यसभा में कहा कि अमेरिका की तरफ अवैध भारतीय प्रवासियों को निर्वासित करने की प्रक्रिया कोई नई बात नहीं है, बल्कि यह कई वर्षों से चल रही है।

विदेश मंत्री ने कहा, यह सभी देशों का दायित्व है कि यदि उनके नागरिक विदेश में अवैध रूप से रह रहे पाए जाते हैं तो उन्हें वापस ले लिया जाए। उन्होंने कहा, हम अमेरिकी सरकार के साथ बातचीत कर रहे हैं ताकि यह सुनिश्चित किया जा सके कि वापस लौटने वाले निर्वासितों के साथ किसी भी तरह का दुर्व्यवहार न हो।

बता दें 104 अवैध भारतीय अप्रवासियों के पहले जत्थे को लेकर एक अमेरिकी सैन्य विमान बुधवार को पंजाब के अमृतसर पहुंचा। इनमें सबसे ज्यादा 33-33 लोग हरियाणा और गुजरात से हैं। कुल 30 निर्वासित लोग पंजाब के निवासी थे। अमेरिकी सेना का सी-17 विमान कड़ी सुरक्षा के बीच श्री गुरु रामदास जी अंतरराष्ट्रीय एयरपोर्ट पर उतरा।

इनमें उत्तर प्रदेश और महाराष्ट्र से तीन-तीन और चंडीगढ़ से दो लोग हैं। निर्वासित लोगों में 25 महिलाएं और 12 नाबालिग शामिल हैं, जिनमें सबसे कम उम्र का यात्री सिर्फ चार साल का है। 48 लोग 25 साल से कम उम्र के हैं।

मंगलवार को टेक्सास से उड़ान भरने वाले इस विमान में 11 चालक दल के सदस्य और निर्वासन प्रक्रिया की निगरानी करने वाले 45 अमेरिकी अधिकारी भी सवार थे।
