भोपाल। भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेता प्रभात झा का गुरुवार को सुबह निधन हो गया है। वह मध्य प्रदेश के अध्यक्ष और लम्बे समय तक पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष रहे थे, उन्हें संगठन ने राज्यसभा सांसद भी चुना था। दरअसल, वे लंबे समय से बीमार चल रहे थे। उन्होंने गुरुग्राम के मेदांता अस्पताल में सुबह पांच बजे अंतिम सांस ली। उनके निधन की खबर के बाद पार्टी में शोक की लहर है।
मप्र भाजपा के प्रवक्ता हितेश बाजपेयी ने उनके निधन की पुष्टि की है। उन्होंने बताया कि झा लंबे समय से बीमार थे। उन्हें जून के आखिर में ही भोपाल से एयरलिफ्ट कर गुरुग्राम के मेदांता अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था। मुख्यमंत्री मोहन यादव और प्रदेश भाजपा के महासचिव हितानंद शर्मा उनका हाल जानने के लिए भोपाल के अस्पताल पहुंचे थे, लेकिन तबीयत में सुधार नहीं हुआ तो गुरुग्राम लाया गया था।
प्रभात झा को भाजपा के उन नेताओं में शुमार किया जाता था, जिनकी बौद्धिक जगत में साख रही है। अनेक पुस्तकों का संपादन, लेखन समेत पार्टी को कैसे आगे ले जाने के लिए ज्ञान धारा का उपयाेग किया जाए, इस कार्य में वे सिद्धहस्त रहे, ग्वालियर के स्वदेश से उनकी पत्रकारिता की शुरूआत हुई थी । वह मूल रूप से बिहार के सीतामढ़ी जिला के के रहने वाले हैं। उनका जन्म 4 जून 1957 को बिहार के दरभंगा के हरिहरपुर गांव में हुआ था। वे परिवार के साथ मध्यप्रदेश के ग्वालियर आ गए थे। प्रारंभिक शिक्षा के बाद प्रभात झा ने ग्वालियर के पीजीवी कॉलेज से बीएससी, माधव कॉलेज से राजनीति शास्त्र में एमए और एमएलबी कॉलेज से एलएलबी की डिग्री ली।
उनकी शादी रंजना झा से हुई थी। उनके दो बेटे हैं। बड़े बेटे का नाम तुष्मुल और छोटे का नाम अयत्न झा है। प्रभात झा शादी के बाद वे पत्रकारिता करने लगे। लंबे समय तक पत्रकारिता के बाद वे राजनीति में आए और बीजेपी के सदस्य बने। वे भाजपा के मुखपत्र ‘कमल संदेश’ के संपादक रहे। उन्होंने कई किताबें भी लिखीं। उनके बेटे अयत्न ने निधन की जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि अंतिम संस्कार ग्वालियर या पैतृक गांव कोरियाही, सीतामढ़ी (बिहार) में होगा।
