लखनऊ, 25 अप्रैल: मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने मंगलवार को प्रदेश के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री एवं स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी स्व. हेमवती नंदन बहुगुणा की जयंती के अवसर पर उनकी प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण कर उन्हे पुष्पांजलि अर्पित की। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने कहा कि स्व. हेमवती नंदन बहुगुणा का प्रदेश के विकास के लिए विजन स्पष्ट था। उन्होंने देश की आजादी के विभिन्न आंदोलनों में सक्रिय भागीदारी निभायी थी। इस दौरान उनके साथ मुख्य सचिव दुर्गा शंकर मिश्र, प्रमुख सचिव गृह संजय प्रसाद समेत तमाम अधिकारियों ने भी पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री स्व. हेमवती नंदन बहुगुणा की प्रतिमा पर श्रद्धासुमन अर्पित किये।

मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने प्रदेश के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री स्व. हेमवती नंदन बहुगुणा को उनकी 104वीं पावन जयंती पर याद करते हुए कहा कि उनका जन्म 25 अप्रैल 1919 को आज के उत्तराखंड के पौड़ी जनपद के एक गांव में हुआ था। उन्होंने अपनी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा गांव के ही एक स्कूल में ग्रहण की। वहीं उन्होंने अपनी सेकेंडरी, सीनियर सेकेंडरी के साथ-साथ उच्च शिक्षा के लिए प्रयागराज का रुख किया। यहां पर उन्होंने उच्च शिक्षा अर्जित करते हुए देश की आजादी के आंदोलन में सक्रिय भागीदार निभायी। उन्होंने वर्ष 1942 में भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन के दौरान व बाद में भी देश की आजादी के लिए विभिन्न आंदोलनों में बढ़चढ़ कर भाग लिया। प्रयागराज और उत्तर प्रदेश के विकास के लिए उनका विजन बहुत स्पष्ट था। ऐसे में अनेक दायित्वों का निर्वहन करने का अवसर उन्हे स्वतंत्र भारत के रूप में प्राप्त हुआ। वह प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में प्रदेश और देश की सेवा के लिए सदैव स्मरण किए जाएंगे।
