नेपाल में कुदरत का कहर, 24 घंटे से लगातार हो रही बारिश से 18 लोगों की मौत

पड़ोसी देश नेपाल में कुदरत का कहर देखने को मिला है। पूर्वी नेपाल के इलम में पिछले 24 घंटों में बाढ़ और भूस्खलन की घटनाओं में कम से कम 18 लोगों की जान गई है।

दरअसल,रविवार सुबह तक सूर्योदय नगर पालिका में भूस्खलन में कम से कम 5 लोग, मंगसेबुंग नगर पालिका में 3 और इलम नगर पालिका में 6 लोगों की मौत की खबर है। इस आपका के बाद प्रशासन राहत के कामों में लग गया है।

बढ़ सकती है मृतकों की संख्या
वहीं,एसएसपी पोखरेल ने समाचार एजेंसी एएनआई से फोन पर बातचीत में कहा कि इस आपदा में मरने वालों की संख्या में इजाफा हो सकता है। वर्तमान में नुकसान का आकलन किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने बताया कि अभी तक हमारे पास केवल नुकसान और क्षति का प्रारंभिक विवरण है।

प्रभावित इलाकों में सुरक्षा एजेंसियों के तीनों स्तरों (जिसमें नेपाल सेना, सशस्त्र पुलिस बल और नेपाल पुलिस शामिल है) को तैनात किया गया है। भारी बारिश और आगे भी बारिश को लेकर चेतावनी जारी की गई है। इस बीच नदियां उफान पर हैं। काठमांडू घाटी के बाढ़ के मैदानों से निवासियों को निकालने के लिए उन्हें तैनात किया गया है।

नदियों के किनारे तलाशी अभियान जारी
सुरक्षा एजेंसियों ने शनिवार को घाटी से होकर गुजरने वाली सभी प्रमुख नदियों के किनारे बसी बस्तियों में तलाशी अभियान चलाया। एजेंसियों ने घर-घर में जाकर तलाशी ली, निवासियों को बाहर निकलने में मदद की और उनके सामान को सुरक्षित स्थानों पर पहुंचाने में मदद की।

इन नदियों का जलस्तर बढ़ने की संभावना
नेपाल के जल विज्ञान और मौसम विज्ञान विभाग ने बागमती, हनुमंते, मनोहरा, धोबी खोला, बिष्णुमती, नक्खू और बल्खू नदियों में जलस्तर बढ़ने की जानकारी दी है। अधिकारियों ने चेतावनी दी है कि बाढ़ सड़क किनारे के इलाकों तक पहुंच सकती है और बस्तियों में घुस सकती है। निवासियों और वाहन चालकों से बाढ़ के खतरे के कारण नदी के किनारे यात्रा करने से बचने का आग्रह किया गया है।
