ई-फार्मेसी की ओर से ऑनलाइन दवाइयों की बिक्री और भारी डिस्काउंट के विरोध में आज बुधवार (20 मई, 2026) को ऑल इंडिया ऑर्गनाइजेशन ऑफ केमिस्ट्स एंड ड्रगिस्ट्स (AIOCD) ने देशव्यापी हड़ताल की घोषणा की है।
एसोसिएशन का कहना है कि इस विरोध प्रदर्शन का मकसद उन रेगुलेटरी कमियों को उजागर करना है, जिनकी वजह से ई-फार्मेसी और तुरंत दवा पहुंचाने वाले प्लेटफॉर्म बिना किसी उचित निगरानी के काम कर पा रहे हैं।
बंद रहेंगी 12.5 लाख से ज्यादा केमिस्टों की दुकानें
संगठन ने दावा किया है कि इस प्रोटेस्ट के तहत देशभर में 12,50,000 और बिहार में 40,000 केमिस्ट हैं। भारत और बिहार की सभी दुकानें एक साथ बंद रहेंगी।
खुली रहेंगी ये दुकानें
राष्ट्रव्यापी बंद के आह्वान के बावजूद 20 मई को देशभर में सभी बड़ी फार्मेसी चेन, अस्पतालों के मेडिकल स्टोर, जन औषधि केंद्र और अमृत फार्मेसी खुली रहेंगी। साथ ही कई राज्य-स्तरीय फार्मेसी एसोसिएशनों ने भी प्रस्तावित बंद में शामिल नहीं होने का फैसला किया है।
उत्तर प्रदेश, पश्चिम बंगाल, केरल, पंजाब, महाराष्ट्र, कर्नाटक, हरियाणा, गुजरात, छत्तीसगढ़, सिक्किम, उत्तराखंड और लद्दाख के रीटेल फार्मेसी एसोसिएशंस ने लिखित आश्वासन दिया है कि उनके राज्यों में दवा दुकानें खुली रहेंगी और दवाओं की कोई किल्लत नहीं होने दी जाएगी। हालांकि, कर्नाटक के कुछ हिस्सों और मध्य प्रदेश में बंद का व्यापक असर देखने को मिल सकता है।
एआईओसीडी की क्या है मांग?
एआईओसीडी ने यह कदम तब उठाया गया है जब हाल ही में उसके प्रतिनिधियों ने राष्ट्रीय दवा नियामक से मुलाकात की और ई-फार्मेसी के कामकाज व नियमन से जुड़ी अपनी चिंताएं उनके सामने रखीं।
इस मुद्दे पर बात करते हुए प्रभाकर कुमार ने दवाओं की ऑनलाइन बिक्री के प्रति केमिस्टों के विरोध को स्पष्ट किया। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि खुदरा फार्मेसियां कड़े ‘प्रिस्क्रिप्शन-बेस्ड’ (prescription-based) सिस्टम के तहत काम करती हैं और एंटीबायोटिक्स, नशीले पदार्थ तथा गर्भपात किट जैसी प्रतिबंधित दवाओं का विस्तृत रिकॉर्ड रखती हैं।
उन्होंने ई-फार्मेसी सिस्टम पर आरोप लगाया कि यह उन दवाओं तक ऑनलाइन पहुंच की अनुमति देता है जिन्हें अन्यथा रेगुलेट किया जाना चाहिए और डिजिटल लेन-देन में नकली पर्चों के संभावित इस्तेमाल के प्रति आगाह किया।
सूत्रों के अनुसार, नियामक ने उन्हें भरोसा दिलाया है कि उनके द्वारा उठाए गए मुद्दों की सक्रिय रूप से समीक्षा की जा रही है और इस क्षेत्र को नियंत्रित करने वाले नियामक ढांचे की जांच की जा रही है, ताकि खुदरा फार्मेसी से जुड़े लोगों की उचित चिंताओं का समाधान किया जा सके।
