इस अटकल की वजह यह है कि फ्रांस जून में G7 शिखर सम्मेलन की मेजबानी करने वाला है, जहां इन दोनों नेताओं के मौजूद रहने की संभावना है। इस साल की शुरुआत में भारत यात्रा के दौरान फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति इमैनुएल मैक्रों ने पीएम मोदी को इस हाई-प्रोफाइल बैठक में शामिल होने का न्योता दिया था।
पिछले साल फरवरी में हुई थी आखिरी मुलाकात
उनकी पिछली मुलाकात 13 फरवरी, 2025 को व्हाइट हाउस में हुई थी। अब खबरें आ रही हैं कि राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप भी इस शिखर सम्मेलन में शामिल हो सकते हैं। इस साल का G7 शिखर सम्मेलन 15 से 17 जून तक फ्रेंच आल्प्स में स्थित एवियन-लेस-बैंस में आयोजित किया जाएगा।
‘किसी समझौते की उम्मीद नहीं’
रिपोर्टों के अनुसार, राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप का इरादा आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस, व्यापार और अपराध से निपटने के वैश्विक प्रयासों से जुड़ी चर्चाओं पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने का है। दिलचस्प बात यह है कि यह शिखर सम्मेलन ट्रंप के 80वें जन्मदिन के ठीक एक दिन बाद शुरू होगा। व्हाइट हाउस के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने संकेत दिया है कि इस बैठक में किसी औपचारिक हस्ताक्षरित समझौते की उम्मीद नहीं है।
